Portugal has won the prize for the Best European Destination for the second year in a row

For the second year in a row, Portugal has won the prize for Europe's Leading City Destination in the World Travel Awards in 2018, the "Oscar" of the Tourism Industry.

Lisbon was chosen the Best European Destination, competing with famous destinations as London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome.

Lisbon's Port was also chosen as leading Cruise Port in Europe, receiving more than 500 thousand visitors last year.

In total, Portugal has received 35 prizes, including Europe's leading island Destination (Madeira) and Leading Tourist Board (Turismo de Portugal).
